The world’s most valuable industry is the music industry, and the list of the most important companies is a testament to just how well it’s doing.
With $1.3 trillion in revenues, the industry generates $6.6 trillion of income for governments around the world, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce.
But it’s not only the money that makes the industry such a big deal.
It’s also the people who work in it.
According to the World Economic Forum, there are over 8.7 million jobs in the music and recording industries, accounting for more than 25 percent of the world’s jobs.
The industry employs more than 1.7 billion people, including 737,000 in the U, which means that over half the population of the planet is employed in the industry.
