Industrial design jobs are booming across the U.S., according to a new study from The New York Times.
The paper found that, while most industries were seeing some decline in 2016, they’re seeing some growth in the past two years.
“The manufacturing and manufacturing services industries have seen their unemployment rate increase significantly since 2016,” the paper’s lead author, Steven M. Rifkin, said in a statement.
“With an estimated 12 million new jobs created between 2014 and 2016, these industries are expected to add an additional 5.7 million jobs by 2026.”
While Rifkins report is not definitive, it shows that the number of jobs in these industries has been growing.
“In 2016, the manufacturing and construction sector employed approximately 3.7 percent of all workers in the United States.
That’s up from 1.7 in 2015 and 0.8 in 2014,” he said.
